Belmond Amaryllis exemplifies French finesse. Antique Louis XVI furniture, a trompe l’oeil wall mural, embroidered Parisian bedcovers and marble en-suite bathrooms create lavish but comfortable living areas.

Accommodation

Cabins. Four generous cabins offer king or twin beds, with private bathrooms - shower, toilet, wash basin.

Dining Room. Formal dining room for dinners.

Lounge. Savour lunch in the lounge, with full-width doors that open up for an alfresco atmosphere.

Heated pool and sundeck. Soak up the sun while relaxing in the heated pool on deck, or relax in the shade under the canopy.

WiFi and computer with internet access, Bose iPod docking station, selection of books, games, satellite TV, DVDs and CDs. Bicycles.

Dijon to St Léger sur Dheune

7 Days / 6 Nights

Taste Côte d’Or and Burgundy wines, visit traditional markets and beautiful ports.

Day 1. Board at Port du Canal; enjoy a champagne reception and meet the crew. Your luxury journey commences as you cruise along the river. Later on, dine on superb local cuisine and fine wines.

Day 2. Drive through the Côte d'Or, which produces some of the world's most famous wines. Visit Clos de Vougeot, a medieval château and headquarters of the Chevaliers du Tastevin society. Afterwards, you'll be treated to an exclusive wine tasting. Back on board, cruise to Longecourt village. You can choose to walk or cycle alongside the Amaryllis.

Day 3. Walk around historic Dijon and visit the magnificent Ducal Palace, market, and the Grey Poupon mustard shop. Browse the many shops, or simply relax in a pavement café. Enjoy lunch on board and marvel at the scenery as you cruise to St-Jean-de-Losne. In the evening stroll around the port and see the many barges.

Day 4. Cruise along the majestic River Sâone and pass through the impressive lock at Crissey. After lunch, visit Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Tour the magnificent 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu a charity hospital that reveals Burgundy’s history. Explore the charming town and shops before enjoying a wine tasting, then rejoin the barge at Fragnes.

Day 5. Cruise along the relaxing Canal du Centre, or choose to cycle or walk alongside the barge. After lunch, tour the Château de Germolles, the only remaining residence of the Dukes of Burgundy. Moor in Rully and dine at a wonderful local Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 6. Cruise to St Léger, another quaint village along the Canal du Centre. Here you'll visit Château de Chamirey, a family wine estate in Mercurey. Enjoy a tour of the vineyards, property and cellar and conclude by sampling its fine wines. Back on board, a magnificent farewell gala dinner awaits.

Day 7. In the morning, enjoy breakfast aboard before the crew bids you farewell and you disembark.

La Bussière sur Ouche

Dijon to Vandenesse en Auxois

7 Days / 6 Nights.

Cruise the beautiful Ouche Valley with 12th-century castles, fine art and ancient abbeys.

Day 1. Board at Dijon's Port du Canal and meet your crew over a champagne reception. As your journey commences, savour your first delicious dinner on board.

Day 2. Leave Dijon and cruise along the River Ouche past unspoiled villages and forest-covered hills. You can choose to walk or cycle alongside on the towpath. Enjoy a wonderful dégustation menu in Vougeot, before visiting Clos de Vougeot, a medieval château and headquarters of the Chevaliers du Tastevin society. See the ancient wine presses once used by Cistercian monks. Back on board, your cruise continues to Fleurey-sur-Ouche village.

Day 3. Tour historic Dijon and visit the magnificent Ducal Palace and the Grey Poupon mustard shop. Take some free time to browse the wonderful shops, or simply relax in a pavement café. Have lunch on board and watch the beautiful passing scenery as you cruise to Gissey.

Day 4. Cruise the picturesque Ouche valley to La Bussière sur Ouche. In the afternoon, drive to the hilltop village of Châteauneuf en Auxois. Visit its 12th-century castle and take in the splendid views. In the evening enjoy a wonderful dinner at Abbey de la Bussière. This restored Cistercian abbey is now a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 5. Cruise past stunning rolling hills to Pont d'Ouche. After lunch visit Beaune, capital of the Burgundy wine region. Visit the magnificent 15th-century charity hospital Hôtel-Dieu. Browse the shops or stroll through the cobbled streets. Take part in an elegant wine tasting before returning to the barge.

Day 6. Begin the morning with a cruise to Vandenesse. After lunch on board, visit Château de Pommard. This estate is set among the vines of the Côte de Beaune. Enjoy a tour of the cellars and tasting before taking in a fine art exhibition. Return to the barge and enjoy time at leisure. Once evening falls, sit down to a farewell gala dinner.

Day 7. Wake up to a final breakfast aboard before disembarking for your onward travel arrangements.

Day 1. Board at St-Léger-sur-Dheune and meet your crew for a champagne reception. Later, savour wonderful French cuisine with your first dinner on board.

Day 2. Cruise the Canal du Centre, enjoying the beautiful countryside. Take the opportunity to walk or cycle along the towpath. Visit Château de Chamirey, a family wine estate in Mercurey. Enjoy a tour of the vineyards, property and wine cellar before sampling the fine wines. Then return to the barge for evening cocktails.

Day 3. Cruise the Canal du Centre to Fragnes before crossing to the River Saône. Enjoy a walking tour of Chalon-sur-Saône’s boutiques, square and half-timbered buildings. Browse through the charming shops or relax at a pavement cafe. In the evening, you'll dine at a local Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 4. Cruise through the River Saône valley to Seurre. Here you'll stop to visit Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Tour the magnificent 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu, a former charity hospital, and enjoy an in-depth wine tasting. Explore the wonderful architecture and fine shopping. Cruise to St-Jean-de-Losne, the barging capital of France. As evening descends, stroll around its port and see the many barges.

Day 5. Leave the river and enter the Burgundy Canal. Visit the medieval Clos de Vougeot where Cistercian monks began making wine in the 12th century. The château is the headquarters of the celebrated wine society, Chevaliers du Tastevin. After a degustation, rejoin the barge at Longecourt and continue your cruise.

Day 6. Visit Dijon’s magnificent Ducal Palace and Grey Poupon mustard shop. Browse the wonderful food market and discover the authentic flavours of the region. In the evening try a Kir aperitif with local Cassis blackcurrant liqueur and Aligoté wine. Then sit down to a glamorous farewell gala dinner.

Day 7. As the sun rises, enjoy your final breakfast on board before the crew bids you farewell and you disembark.

Day 1. Board at Vandenesse and get to know your crew over a champagne reception. Later as the evening settles, savour your first delightful dinner on board.

Day 2. Cruise the Canal de Bourgogne and enjoy the stunning views. You can use this opportunity to walk or cycle alongside on the towpath and immerse yourself in the beautiful scene. After lunch visit the early 18th-century Château de Pommard, surrounded by lush vineyards. Visit its exceptional cellar and sample some of the vintage wines. Drive back through the picturesque landscape for cocktails on board.

Day 3. Relax on the barge as you cruise to La Bussière village. Stop at Beaune, capital of the Burgundy wine region. Visit the magnificent 15th-century charity hospital Hôtel-Dieu and enjoy a wine tasting. Browse the shops or stroll through the cobbled streets, admiring the ancient ramparts. In the evening, moor at La Bussière-sur-Ouche village.

Day 4. Cruise the charming Ouche valley to Gissey. As you reach the afternoon, drive to the hilltop village of Châteauneuf en Auxois. Visit its 12th-century castle and take in the splendid views. Afterwards, enjoy a wonderful tour and dinner at Abbey de la Bussière. This beautifully restored Cistercian abbey is now a Michelin-starred restaurant.
