From a buffet-style continental breakfast, with pastries and breads from on-land boulangeries (baker shops), to locally-sourced regional specialities for an alfresco lunch on deck, or a four-course gourmet candlelit dinner. Many boats offer an opportunity for the guests to accompany the chef to the market one day to help choose and select from the vast range of fresh products on offer. Can my Dietary Requirements be managed?All dietary requirements and specific requests can be accommodated, given sufficient notice. What type of Cuisine is there on board?The chefs tailor menus to individual preferences and requests, based on the cuisine of the region and seasonality. The best quality and freshest ingredients possible are sourced in the local markets, in order to deliver an elegant,sophisticated and gourmet dining experience. Can I order a la carte?All the Afloat in France boats offer a table d'hôte menu of the very highest quality. Menus are however discussed on-board with passengers in advance. Any preferences or requests are catered for, where possible and with sufficient notice. Is there WiFi, Internet and TV on board?All Afloat in France boats have internet provision via mobile WiFi connections. Connectivity is dependent upon signal availability and strength at the given location. All boats ( except Napoleon ) have wide screen TV's situated in the boats' main salon. There are on-board DVD libraries. The Napoleon has DVD players available for viewing in cabins. What if I become ill on board? Medical servicesThere is a first aid kit and designated first aider on-board. In the unlikely event of an emergency, or a more routine medical need, there is a bi-lingual guide accompanying the journey who will assist in finding appropriate medical assistance, whether at a pharmacy or with a doctor or hospital visit. Is Smoking allowed on board?Smoking is not permitted inside any Afloat in France vessel. It is allowed outside on the decks, with consideration taken for the comfort of other passengers. Can I buy Gifts on-board?There are no gift shops on-board. Many excursions allow both time and opportunity to buy mementos and presents.
