Belmond Fleur de Lys luxury riverboat/barge travels between Dijon and Vandenesse-En-Auxois, visiting Burgundy’s chateaux and vineyards.

From the history and culture of Dijon to the pastoral beauty of Vandenesse-En-Auxois, set off on one of the most scenic river cruises Europe has to offer.

With interiors enriched by authentic Indian furnishings, including ornate fabrics and four-poster beds, Belmond Fleur de Lys is a visual treat.

The un-spoilt and unpolluted environment is a delight for the discerning cyclist, who can cycle as many km’s outside of mealtimes and optional visits. Vandenesse en Auxois to Dijon

Fine wining and dining awaits as you enjoy an exceptional taste of luxury cruising in Burgundy. Embark on a fascinating tour of the region’s historic charms and discover the ancient chateaux and iconic landmarks.

7 Days / 6 Nights

Day 1 Vandenesse. Our Crew await your arrival at the countryside mooring of Vandenesse en Auxois. Step on board and unwind with a glass of chilled champagne as you take in your luxurious surroundings. You will meet the crew and have time to settle in before the chef sumptuous dinner this evening.

Day 2 Beaune. This morning the barge sails though the heart of the beautiful Ouche Valley to Pont d'Ouche. After lunch visit Beaune, the capital of the Burgundy wine region. Marvel at the famous Hotel-Dieu, a magnificent 15th century charity hospital. Afterwards explore the town's pretty cobbled streets and revel in Beaune's medieval charm, enjoying a private wine tasting before returning to the barge.

Day 3 La Bussiere. Idyllic views await as we sail to the village of La Bussiere sur Ouche. Savour a delicious lunch on board before a visit to the regency estate of Chateau de Pommard, for a private tour. Explore historic wine cellars, enjoy a tasting of the estates finest wines, and marvel at the fine art exhibition. Return to the barge for a delectable dinner on board.

Day 4 Gissey. Awake to views of lush countryside as the barge continues along the glorious Ouche Valley en route to the Gissey sur Ouche. Head to the Abbey de la Bussiere for an exceptional Michelin-starred lunch within a beautifully restored Cistercian abbey. After lunch, a short drive takes us to the 12th century Chateauneuf en Auxois, for a visit that also has breathtaking views across the valley. Return to the barge late afternoon to relax on board, or take a leisurely cycle into the local village before dinner.

Day 5 Vougeot. Savour life at a leisurely pace as the barge sets sail this morning. After lunch take a scenic drive down Route des Grands Crus, arriving in the charming village of Vougeot for an exclusive visit to the Clos de Vougeot. The medieval estate serves as a headquarters to the Confrerie de Chevaliers de Tastevin, the famous Burgundian wine society. After a private wine tasting return to the barge for an exquisite evening feast of fine French Cuisine.

Day 6 Dijon. After an indulgent breakfast, take a walking tour of historic Dijon, visiting the market, the Ducal palace, and the iconic Maille Mustard shop. Explore at leisure, or enjoy a tranquil morning at a pavement cafe soaking up the city's vibrant atmosphere. Return to the barge for a delicious lunch before we embark on an afternoon cruise into the heart of the town. Sit back and savour the views as chef prepares a delicious gala dinner for your final evening on board.

Day 7 Dijon. Make the most of your final morning with breakfast on board before the crew bids you farewell and you disembark.

Day 1 Dijon. Our crew await your arrival at Dijon's Port Du Canal where your cruise begins. Step on board and unwind with a glass of chilled champagne as you take in your nautical surroundings. Meet the crew and take time to settle in before chef serves a sumptuous dinner this evening.

Day 2 Vougeot. Savour life at a leisurely pace as the barge sets sail along the canal. After lunch take a scenic drive down the Route des Grands Crus, arriving in the charming village of Vougeot. Enjoy an exclusive visit to the Clos de Vougeot, an elegant chateau encased in a walled vineyard. The medieval estate serves as headquarters to the confreire de Chevaliers de Tastevin, the famous Burgundian wine society. After a private wine-tasting make your way back to the barge for an exquisite evening of fine french cuisine.

Day 3 Gissey. After an Indulgent breakfast, take a walking tour of historic Dijon. Visit the market, the Ducal Palace, and the grey poupon mustard shop. The city is brimming with cultural treasures and charming boutiques to discover. Take time to explore at your leisure, or savour a tranquil morning at a pavement cafe soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. Return to the barge for a delicious lunch before we embark on the most stunning part of the cruise to the village of Gissey.

Day 4 La Bussiere. Awaken to views of lush countryside as the barge cruises along the glorious Ouche valley to La Busisere. Enjoy breakfast on board before a short drive to the hilltop village of Chateauneuf en Auxois. Here you'll visit the splendid 12th century chateau, boasting breathtaking views across the valley. Head to the Abbey de la Brussiere for an exceptional Michelin-starred lunch within a beautifully restored Cistercian abbey. Return to the barge in the evening for a leisurely dinner on board.

Day 7 Vandenesse. Make the most of your final morning with breakfast on board before the crew bids you farewell and you disembark.
